The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the homicide of Shawn Ricks.


The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Kansas City Field Office in Missouri is seeking the public's assistance in locating the individual(s) responsible for the homicide of Shawn Ricks in 2020.

On July 26, 2020, the Kansas City Police Department responded to a reported homicide on the 3400th block of Indiana Street in Kansas City, Missouri. Upon arrival officers identified the victim, Ricks, who was deceased in the street. Ricks, who was 30 years old, succumbed to gunshot injuries to his abdomen.

This case is being investigated as part of the Department of Justice's Operation Legend, a coordinated federal and local law enforcement initiative to fight violent crime.
