Looking at the center photo above, Eric Bartoli appeared to be working very intensely on his computer. One may wonder if he had the same stance back in 1995 when he allegedly created and operated Cyprus Funds, Inc. Based out of Doylestown, Ohio, and incorporated in Belize and Central America, Bartoli allegedly operated Cyprus to sell certificates of deposit and unregistered mutual funds. Cyprus seemed to be very successful and raised approximately $65 million from an estimated 800 investors in the United States and Latin America. Bartoli's alleged ponzi scheme left a trail of victims which included blue-collar workers and retirees. And, due to his alleged swindling, Bartoli reportedly used the majority of the money invested with Cyprus to operate various businesses and live a lavish life. Bartoli is believed to be living in Peru.
On October 15, 2003, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Bartoli. He was charged with conspiracy, securities fraud, sale of unregistered securities, wire fraud, mail fraud, money laundering, and attempted income tax evasion.
Bartoli is about 5'10" tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds with green eyes and brown (balding) hair.
