Halpern: I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau, and you’re listening to Wanted by the FBI. Christy Ann Mirack was a 25-year-old elementary school teacher in Lancaster, Pennsylvania back in 1992. Special Agent Tim Lynch…
Lynch: She was well liked, well respected.
Halpern: Mirack’s life came to a violent end during the holiday season when her killer entered her Greenfield Estates apartment. Mirack was raped, strangled, and bludgeoned to death.
Lynch: We believe that the killer was somewhat large in stature, and the reason being is that investigators found Christy’s footprints very high on the wall in her apartment, indicating that the killer at some point probably lifted her up while they were struggling.
Halpern: Investigators were able to collect blood and other samples and are looking to find the person who matches the DNA.
