Thirteen-year-old Nicole Lovell was missing from the Lantern Ridge area of Blacksburg, Virginia, since the early morning hours of January 27, 2016. Nicole was wearing black jeans, possibly a gray-striped "Mossy Oak" shirt, brown- and-pink "Fat Baby" cowboy boots and may be carrying a blue blanket with yellow "Minions." Nicole was a liver transplant recipient and required daily prescription medicine, which she was without while she was missing.


The remains of Nicole Lovell were located across Virginia/North Carolina state lines in Surry County, North Carolina, on January 30, 2016.
