FBI San Francisco: Video Depicting Kidnapping of Monica de Leon Barba (Video 2)

FBI San Francisco has released new video surveillance in the case of kidnapped victim Monica de Leon Barba, a United States citizen, who was kidnapped in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, Mexico, while walking home from work with her dog on November 29, 2022.

FBI San Francisco has released new video surveillance in the case of kidnapped victim Monica de Leon Barba, a United States citizen, who was kidnapped in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, Mexico, while walking home from work with her dog on November 29, 2022.

This video depicts the kidnappers and their vehicles during the kidnapping. Monica was confronted by several suspects and forced into a gray Volkswagen Jetta. The suspects then drive away in three different vehicles, including the Jetta. Monica’s dog is shown in the video loose in the street. Her dog was later safely located and recovered by a family member.

This video indicates at least five suspects were involved in the kidnapping:

  • Suspect 1: Male in dark clothing
  • Suspect 2: Male in white shirt and jeans
  • Suspect 3: Male in dark clothing, in backseat of white Suburban
  • Suspect 4: Male, dark shirt, believed to be driver of gray Charger
  • Suspect 5: (Not shown on video) Presumed driver of the white Suburban
