The FBI Charlotte Field Office and the Jacksonville Police Department need your help to solve a transgender woman's murder. Kenna Franks’ body was found on February
24th, 2021, near Ellis Boulevard and White Street in Jacksonville, North Carolina. FBI Special Agent Floyd is investigating Jenna's murder as a possible hate crime.

"Jenna was a beloved member of the LGBTQ+IA community. We don't know if Jenna knew the suspect or if we we’re looking for more than one person. Evidence in the investigation does indicate Jenna willingly met whoever is responsible, not knowing her life would end. Investigators have uncovered a lot of evidence."

"We are hopeful someone can provide that missing piece to solve the case." Jacksonville Police Department Detective Eichelberger explains. "It is likely whoever killed her is familiar with the area where her body was found and may continue to live or work in the community. We aren't ruling out that the killer moved away and are hoping someone hears this message and comes forward with information."

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000. If you have information, call FBI Charlotte at 704-672-6100 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273.
