I’m Shohini Sinha, Special Agent in Charge of the Salt Lake City FBI, which serves the states of Utah, Idaho, and Montana.

The FBI is always monitoring global trends that may impact us here at home.

We know that recent events in our country and overseas have led to an increase in harassment and intimidation within some communities.

And simply put, we won’t tolerate it.

The FBI’s mission is to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution, and that responsibility includes safeguarding against hate and violence.

But we can only do so if we know about it.

We understand some people may be scared or hesitant to come forward to law enforcement for whatever reason, but I want to assure you the FBI is here to serve all communities and keep us all safe.

If you or someone you know gets threats of intimidation, it’s important that you report it.

We take every complaint seriously.

Call us at (801) 579-1400 or 1-800-CALL-FBI.

If it’s an emergency or you’re in immediate danger, call 9-1-1.

In an effort to continue expanding our outreach and strengthening relationships with our diverse communities, FBI Salt Lake City will be releasing this message in several languages.

Just know, we are here to serve you.
