FBI Dallas Joint Operation Targets Gang Members, Violent Criminals

The FBI, along with the Dallas Police Department and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an early morning operation on July 27, 2023, that resulted in 15 arrests of suspected drug gang members and violent criminals. This footage is from operations at multiple locations.

FBI special agent: Just to give you a background on this case. About two years ago, Dallas Police Department was putting together their violent crime reduction plan. And what they instituted was a hot spots policing model. Took a lot of crime data. They figured out what the 47 most violent grids in the city of Dallas were and started targeting them.

Chad Yarbrough, special agent in charge, FBI Dallas Division: It's going to be a long day. I actually had an opportunity to ride out with these guys last week and kind of tour all the locations and areas. And, you know, safety is obviously paramount. So be sure that's first and foremost. But with that said, thanks again for stepping up and helping and stay safe.
