The FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Kelley Smith. This reward is in addition to a reward of up to $2,500 previously offered by Portland Police Bureau through the Crime Stoppers of Oregon program.

At about 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020, Kelley Marie Smith, age 53, and her husband were working together to deliver meals for Uber Eats. As they were driving near Dawson Park in North Portland, Oregon, unknown people fired multiple shots. Investigators recovered a large number of shell casings from several different types of firearms. Investigators believe Smith was an unintended victim caught in the middle of a fight.

“Mrs. Smith wasn’t anyone’s target, and she didn’t deserve to die that night. We just passed the one-year anniversary of her killing. Her family doesn’t deserve to live with the daily trauma of knowing that the shooters are still on the streets. Now is the time to be brave and step forward with information,” said Kieran L. Ramsey, special agent in charge of the FBI in Oregon.

This reward is the seventh offered by the FBI on behalf of the Metro Safe Streets Task Force. Previous rewards include:

• Up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a mass shooting that claimed the life of Makayla Harris and injured six others
• Up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of Evelin Navarro-Barajas
• Up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of Dhulfigar Kareem Mseer.
• Up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of De’annzello McDonald.
• Up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of Curtis Smith.
• Up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of Anthony McNaughton.
