Mr. Jose Rodriguez, President of Fort Myers Construction Company and member of the Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association (CAAA) Executive Board, has made significant contributions to Washington Field Office's (WFO's) Community Outreach Program initiatives. Since the establishment of the CAAA Executive Board at the Washington Field Office in September 2005, Mr. Rodriguez has been committed and dedicated to the mission of working with WFO to enhance the quality of life for children in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia area. Mr. Rodriguez has enhanced the WFO mission of community involvement, crime prevention, and drug deterrence. He has been a significant contributor to helping at-risk youths by his participation in five local area schools in partnership with WFO’s Adopt-A-School Program. Mr. Rodriguez’s dedicated efforts have included not only the investment of his time, but a significant financial commitment as well.

He has funded several bus trips for approximately 225 Junior Special Agent (JSA) to Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins Medical Center to attend an educational presentation by renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson. He funded JSA Student Incentive Day, which took 10 students on a leased bus to a special tour of the White House, a tour of the U.S. Capitol, lunch at an area restaurant, and a presentation of incentive awards at WFO by ADIC Joseph Persichini, Jr.

Mr. Rodriguez provided financing for a trip to Luray Caverns, a holiday party for over 270 students, a JSA picnic at the FBI Academy, a graduation ceremony at FBI Headquarters, the purchase of awards for JSA graduates, a dinner for Citizens’ Academy graduates, and plaques for those graduates.

Mr. Rodriguez has made presentations at several schools throughout the academic year. In addition to the above, Mr. Rodriguez has donated over 225 turkeys so that each child participating in the FBI WFO Adopt-A-School Program would have provision for the holiday season.
