2008 Director’s Community Leadership Awards

Boston Christopher DiCenso
Managing Partner and Founder,
Growth Strategy Partners, LLS
Director Mueller and Christopher DiCenso

Mr. Christopher DiCenso is the Managing Partner and founder of Growth Strategy Partners, LLS, a consulting firm that accelerates the growth of entrepreneurial organizations by implementing Seven Keys to Growth, a concept taught by his firm that allows businesses to experience continued growth. As a graduate of the Boston Division’s Citizens’ Academy, Mr. DiCenso has used his success in business to assist the FBI in improving and expanding our Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association.

As the newly appointed President of the Boston Division’s Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, Mr. DiCenso has dramatically improved the level of involvement of the alumni members through his tireless dedication and positive can-do attitude. This has resulted in an alumni association that is both motivated and dedicated to assisting the FBI by increasing public awareness of the FBI’s mission and commitment to public safety through community involvement.

Since assuming the duties of President of the Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, Mr. DiCenso has established clear goals and objectives that have motivated the alumni to develop several new ideas and a strategy aimed at improving and expanding relations between the community and the FBI. He organized bi-monthly alumni events and worked closely with the Boston FBI Office in scheduling the Sig Sauer Academy, case presentations and FBI recruiting forums. These efforts have produced an increased membership and an expanded awareness of today’s FBI.

Mr. DiCenso was instrumental in the success of the Boston Division’s celebration of the FBI’s 100th anniversary. He worked tirelessly in securing the venue, obtaining equipment, and enlisting the support of the local InfraGard Chapter and the Society of Former Special Agents to ensure that this event was well promoted.

In a ceremony at FBI Headquarters, Director Robert S. Mueller, III recognized the recipients of the 2008 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.

“Whatever the motivation—an unfilled need, a tragic occurrence, a desire to give back—these are people who make things happen and enlist others in their cause,” said Director Mueller. “They are activists who have earned their prestige through good works.”
