FBI and Local Law Enforcement Seek the Public’s Assistance to Identify the Bombshell Bandit

The FBI and local law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles, California and Lake Havasu, Arizona are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Bombshell Bandit, who is believed to be responsible for robbing three bank banks, in three different cities, during the period June 6, 2014 through July 14, 2014.

The Bombshell Bandit derives her name based on bomb threats she has made during her robberies.  During her robberies, the Bombshell Bandit passes a demand note to the victim teller demanding cash.  The note threatens that she possesses a bomb and will detonate the bomb if she does not receive money. No injuries have been reported during any of the robberies.

The Bombshell Bandit is believed to be responsible for the following robberies:

  1. Bank of the West, 27011 Mc Bean Parkway, Valencia, California, on Friday, June 6, 2014.
  2. Wells Fargo Bank, 1601 North Mc Culloch Boulevard, Lake Havasu, Arizona, on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
  3. Comerica Bank, 3361 Rosecrans Street, Suite 9A, San Diego, California, on Monday, July 14, 2014.

Witnesses described the Bombshell Bandit as follows:

  • Sex: Female
  • Race: White, Hispanic, Indian, or Middle Eastern descent
  • Height: Approximately 5’3” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 120–140 pounds
  • Hair: Possibly wears a wig, auburn or brown in color, but natural hair believed to be black
  • Age: Approximately 20–25 years old
  • Clothing: Long multi-colored scarf covering head and neck; dark sunglasses with large lenses; dark long sleeved sweater and long black skirt. The Bombshell Bandit has also worn a long-sleeve jacket with front zipper and flip flop shoes.
