FBI Requests Public Assistance to Identify Bank Robber

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the San Diego Violent Crimes Task Force are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for a bank robbery in San Diego, California.

On September 11, 2018, at approximately 5:08 p.m., the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 5522 Bal-boa Avenue, San Diego, California was robbed by a lone male. The robber approached the teller and presented a note demanding money from the bank. The robber was provided a sum of cash and departed the bank on foot.

The robber is described as a white male, in his 60s, standing approximately 6'0"tall. 

Witnesses have described the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Age: 60’s
  • Height: 6’0” tall
  • Hair: Gray
  • Clothing: Long sleeved shirt, jeans, white visor, sunglasses
  • Weapon: None seen or threatened during the robbery
