Attempted Bank Robbery in Lemon Grove

FBI Requesting Tips

SAN DIEGO—The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for an attempted bank robbery in Lemon Grove, California.

On August 10, 2020, at approximately 1:34 p.m., an unidentified female entered the Wells Fargo Bank located at 7080 Broadway, Lemon Grove, California, and presented the teller with a note demanding money from the bank. The teller did not comply with the demand and the robber fled the bank of foot without any cash.

The robber is described as a black female, thin build, standing approximately 5’8” wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The robber covered her face and head with the hooded sweatshirt, face mask, and sunglasses. In addition, the woman wore white gloves.

Witnesses have described the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Black
  • Age: Unknown
  • Height: 5’8” tall
  • Build: Thin
  • Clothing: Dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, sunglasses, mask, sunglasses , white gloves
  • Weapon: No weapon displayed
