Man Arrested for Armed Robbery

Agencies Work Together to Combat Crime in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ—On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, the Peoria Police Department with assistance from the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Avery Lawrence Lowe, 30, without incident at his home in Glendale, Arizona. Lowe faces multiple charges of robbery and armed robbery for his alleged connection with three separate incidents, including:

  • April 13, 2022, Bank of America ATM, 9260 West Northern Avenue, Peoria, Arizona
  • April 13, 2022, Chase Bank, 3241 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona
  • May 6, 2022, Kay Jewelers, 7700 West Arrowhead Town Center, Glendale, Arizona

No one was physically injured during these robberies.

This task force was created to provide a solid foundation to address violent crime in Phoenix and its surrounding areas. Today’s arrest is a prime example of local and federal agencies working together to conduct seamless and coordinated investigations to help keep our communities safe.

The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force would like to thank the Phoenix Police Department, Peoria Police Department, Glendale Police Department, and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for their work on this case.

This case will be prosecuted through the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is comprised of the Phoenix Police Department, Peoria Police Department, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office FATE team, U.S. Border Patrol, and the FBI.
