FBI and City of Norfolk Host Active Shooter Preparedness Event

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Norfolk Field Office, and the City of Norfolk public safety departments are partnering to host an Active Shooter Preparedness Event on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Norfolk Fire Rescue Training Center, 7120 Granby Street, Norfolk Virginia, at 9 a.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.). This event is free and open to the public.

The goal of this event is to enhance community preparedness by providing training and resources to help citizens prepare for and respond to an active shooter incident.

Hampton Roads residents are invited to attend and be a part of this important dialogue.

Participants will learn about pre-event indicators, and the need for a coordinated response by law enforcement and others to save lives.

A panel discussion will take place to highlight the importance of public and private entities all working together.

Registration is requested by visiting: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/active-shooter-preparedness-event-tickets-32660957804. Attendees are requested to park at Granby High School.
