As such, you are strongly encouraged to provide as much information as possible and use the Situation, Action, Result format to describe the situation, the actions you took, and the resulting outcomes. The FBI Foreign Language Program uses over 75 languages to help protect against cyber crimes, terrorism, foreign counterintelligence, corruption, kidnapping, civil rights violations and other crimes under FBI jurisdiction.
Independent Contract Linguists provide services to our investigations while using a wide range of foreign language skills. Linguists translate documents or audio into English; provide analysis; interpret during interviews of subjects, victims, and dignitaries; and provide cultural knowledge and expertise to our FBI special agents and intelligence analysts.
