Mississippi Man Pleads Guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
JACKSON, MS—Otis McGee, 31, of Choctaw, Mississippi, pled guilty on January 29, 2015, before U.S. District Judge Henry T. Wingate, to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis announced today. The crime occurred on the Tribal lands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. McGee will be sentenced on April 26, 2015 and faces a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The case was investigated by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Lemon is prosecuting the case.
