Convicted Felon Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Possession of a Firearm
JACKSON, MS—Otis McGee, 28, of Choctaw, Mississippi, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Henry T. Wingate, Jr. to 24 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis. McGee pled guilty to the charge on January 29, 2015. The crime occurred on the tribal lands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Lemon.
