Wanted: Poster Contest Participants, Seventh Through Twelfth Graders

Teens in grades 7th—12th are invited to create and submit a poster that focuses on the consequences of using heroin and/or misuse of prescription opioids in an effort to raise awareness on this epidemic.

Prizes will be provided to four winners in each of three grade categories (7th/8th, 9th/10th, 11th/12th). Prize money is being provided by Robby’s Voice, FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association, Westshore Enforcement Bureau, WKYC, The LCADA Way, Cleveland Cops for Kids, and other individual contributors. Winning posters are likely to be displayed in public venues upon the conclusion of the contest.

Posters are to be 18” x 24” and will be judged on originality of presentation, effectiveness and relevance, and content. Individuals should refrain from using any obscene material or language, nudity, profanity or gratuitous violence, endorsement of illegal drug use, alcohol abuse, prescription drug abuse, or other illegal activity or derogatory characterization of any person or group.

Students may create and submit a poster to WKYC, Attention: Monica Robins, 1333 Lakeside Avenue East, Cleveland, Ohio 44114 via mail or drop off. All posters must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2020. Any questions may be directed to CTD@FBICLECAAA.ORG.
