FBI Director Christopher Wray Visits Baltimore Field Office

BALTIMORE, MD—This week FBI Director Christopher Wray visited the FBI’s Baltimore Field Office. During the visit, Director Wray met with Special Agent in Charge Thomas J. Sobocinski of the FBI Baltimore Field Office, other field office personnel, and local, state, and federal law enforcement partners from Maryland and Delaware.

Director Wray praised the great working relationships between the FBI and the region’s law enforcement community. He affirmed the FBI’s commitment to partnerships and the value of task forces. He also discussed how to better combat violent crime in the area and expressed his appreciation for their continued support and collaboration.

"When we’ve been successful here in Maryland and Delaware, it’s because of the incredible partnerships we have. It’s our collective commitment to the communities we serve that makes us effective at reducing violent crime,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said. “The FBI remains focused on using all of our tools to bring proactive investigations and remove the most violent gangs and criminals from the streets.”

The FBI Baltimore Field Office covers the entire states of Maryland and Delaware. Along with the main office in Baltimore, there are seven resident agencies located throughout the two states.

Director Wray makes regular visits to the FBI’s 56 field offices and legal attachés to meet with employees and get briefed on local issues and crime trends, as well as to collaborate with partners.
