Up to $1, 000 Reward Offered After Man in Red T-Shirt Robs Albuquerque Bank

The FBI is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man who robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank on Thursday, April 18, 2019.

Bank of the West, 4221 San Mateo Boulevard NE, was robbed at approximately 1 p.m. 

The suspect is described as a slim, possibly Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5'5" tall, with a dark complexion and short hair. 

He wore a red T-shirt, a light-colored baseball hat possibly with a Pittsburgh Penguins logo on it, light-colored pants, and black shoes. 

The suspect presented a demand note to a teller, who gave him an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect left the bank and headed north, walking across Montgomery Boulevard NE. 

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are investigating.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
