Man Wearing LSU Cap Robs Albuquerque Bank

An unknown man wearing a purple LSU baseball cap robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank on Friday afternoon, January 18, 2019.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's, approximately 5'5” tall, with a slim build.

He had brown hair and mild acne scaring.

The suspect wore a purple LSU baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt under a black jacket, and wore multiple rings on his left hand.

At approximately 3:26 p.m., the suspect entered Wells Fargo, 11199 Montgomery Boulevard NE., and presented a demand note to a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and turned north.

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are investigating.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
