Herbert Boyd Smith, 50, of Albuquerque, has been arrested in connection with the robbery on Monday, October 2, 2017, of an Albuquerque bank.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested Smith following the robbery of Bank of the West, located at 3733 Isleta Boulevard SW.

Sheriff’s deputies turned Smith over to the FBI.

Smith is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

The public is reminded that all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
