The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for a bank robbery on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

At approximately 3:32 p.m., an unknown male entered Bank of the West, 3733 Isleta Boulevard Southwest. The suspect presented a note to the teller demanding money from the bank. The robber received an undisclosed sum of money and fled southbound on foot.

Suspect’s Description:

• Sex: Male
• Race: Hispanic (light skin)
• Height: Approximately 5'5”
• Clothing: Black baseball hat with black and white checkerboard bill, eyeglasses, gray gaiter mask, gray zip-up hoodie, black pants, and Nike black and white shoes, glove on left hand.

This individual also is suspected of the attempted robbery of First Financial Credit Union in Rio Rancho on January 15 and the robbery of Bank of the West in Albuquerque on January 12. (The suspect wore a black glove on his left hand in the January 12 robbery.)

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
