FBI Media Alert: Black Mask Bandit Robs Albuquerque Bank
The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Black Mask Bandit who is responsible for a bank robbery on Friday, July 8, 2022.
At approximately 4:53 p.m., an unknown male entered U.S. Bank, located at 3000 Central Avenue SE. The suspect presented a demand note to a teller. The robber received an undisclosed sum of money and left the bank on foot heading east.
Suspect’s Description:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White or Hispanic
- Age: 20s-30s
- Height: 5'11”
- Build: Slender
- Hair: Black
- Clothing: Short-sleeve black shirt, black mask, gray pants, dark shoes.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
