FBI Media Alert: Bandaged Bandit Robs Albuquerque Bank, Suspected of Two Other Robberies
The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for a bank robbery on Thursday, April 7, 2022.
At approximately 11:37 a.m., an unknown male entered U.S. Bank, 3801 Isleta Boulevard SW. The suspect presented a note to the teller demanding money from the bank. The robber received an undisclosed sum of money and left the bank heading east on foot.
Suspect’s Description:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White, light skin
- Age: 30-35
- Height: Approximately 5'6” to 5'8”
- Build: Slim
- Clothing: Eyeglasses, tan baseball cap, royal blue jacket with a yellow X on the left side of the chest.
- Other: Adhesive bandage on the upper right cheek
This individual is suspected of two other Albuquerque bank robberies: Wells Fargo, 3801 4th Street NW, on March 2, 2022, and Western Commerce Bank, 1910 Wyoming Boulevard NE, on February 22, 2022.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
