The Cleveland Division of the FBI announces the arrest of three individuals suspected of an armed bank robbery on June 26, 2015.

Russell C. Bowers, Ashley Wentz, and Jason D. Spinelli have each been federally charged with one count of bank robbery.

On June 26, 2015, the Citizens Bank located at 5775 Chevy Road in Parma, Ohio was robbed by two masked white males. One male, now identified as Jason D. Spinelli, brandished a black pellet gun during the commission of the bank robbery. Wentz served as the getaway driver.

Wentz and Bowers were arrested by members of the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force and detectives of the Parma Heights Police Department and Parma Police Department pursuant to a locally authorized warrant issued by the Parma Heights Police Department Municipal Court for aggravated robbery on the night of July 18, 2015. Both individuals have been in custody since the time of arrest.

The remaining individual, Jason D. Spinelli was taken into custody on July 30, 2015, at Metrohealth Hospital by the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force and a Parma Police Department detective. Spinelli was also held on local charges issued by the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas for aggravated robbery.

Bowers and Wentz are possibly facing additional bank robbery charges involving the Fifth Third Bank robbery from July 12, 2015, and the Citizens Bank robbery from July 17, 2015.
