Michael J. Anderson, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced today a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible for robbing a bank in Kane County this morning.

At approximately 10 a.m. today, an unidentified male entered the PNC Bank branch located at 28 North Grove in Elgin, Illinois. Shortly thereafter, he approached a teller and made a threatening demand for money. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No physical injuries were reported in connection with this robbery.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a male, black, approximately 35 years old, 5’11” to 6’1” tall, weighing around 180 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, and a gray- or tan-colored fleece pullover. He is considered armed and dangerous.
