FBI Media Alert: FBI, Police Look for Albuquerque Bank Robber

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a man who robbed a U.S. Bank branch in northeast Albuquerque on Saturday, October 24, 2015, and might have committed another bank robbery in the city earlier this month.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s to 50s, approximately 5’7” tall, with a slender build.

He wore a white hoodie, dark ski cap, eyeglasses, and dark pants.

    

Witnesses said the suspect at approximately 12:31 p.m. entered the bank located at 2015 Eubank Blvd. NE.

The suspect verbally demanded money from a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who left the bank.

Authorities are investigating whether this suspect could be involved with the October 14, 2015 robbery of U.S. Bank at 3000 Central Ave. SE. in Albuquerque (photo from that robbery below).

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
