Armed Man Robs Bank of the West Branch in Albuquerque
The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a man who robbed a Bank of the West branch at 4221 San Mateo Blvd. in Albuquerque on Friday, June 20, 2014.
The suspect is described as a black male with green eyes and a slender build.
He may have a tattoo under his left eye.
The suspect wore a blue bandana over his face, a black zippered hoodie, white latex gloves, and dark pants, possibly faded jeans.
Witnesses say he entered the bank at approximately 9:15 a.m. and displayed a semi-automatic handgun.
He demanded money from a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the robber.
The suspect left the bank and got into a vehicle driven by another person waiting in an alley behind the bank.
The vehicle, which is described as a gray Nissan Altima with a turquoise New Mexico license plate, was last seen heading down the alley toward an Albertson’s supermarket.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at 505-889-1300.
The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
