FBI Recognized as a 2005 Top Diversity Employer by the Black Collegian Magazine

Washington, D.C. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was recently ranked by The Black Collegian magazine as the 25th best diversity employer out of a pool of 100 private industry companies and government agencies.

Since September 11, 2001, the FBI mission has evolved to become more prevention-based. To further accomplish this mission, the FBI continues to add professional staff, special agents, intelligence analysts, and linguists with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets. The FBI mission demands a diverse workplace trained in certain critical skills that will enable the bureau to continue to meet its mission.

Mary Hannagan, Acting Assistant Director for the Administrative Services Division said: “This recognition exemplifies the FBI’s interest in developing a skilled cadre of personnel that best represents the population of the bureau’s jurisdiction.
