Diane Upchurch Named Special Agent in Charge of the Little Rock Division

FBI Director James B. Comey has named Diane Upchurch as the special agent in charge of the Little Rock Division. Ms. Upchurch most recently served as the section chief of International Terrorism Operations Section 1 in the Counterterrorism Division at FBI Headquarters.

Ms. Upchurch joined the FBI in 1995. She began her career in the Dallas Division, where she focused primarily on gang, organized crime, and drug matters. She was then assigned to the North Texas Joint Terrorism Task Force, where she worked international and domestic terrorism matters. Ms. Upchurch later transferred to the Los Angeles Field Office and was assigned to a drug squad as part of the Southwest Border Initiative.

Throughout her career, Ms. Upchurch has held leadership positions in the Investigative Technologies Division, Counterintelligence Division, Los Angeles Field Office, and the Counterterrorism Division. Ms. Upchurch also served on the Evidence Response Team, Hazardous Materials Response Team in both the Dallas Division and the Los Angeles Field Office, and on the Rapid Deployment Team in the Los Angeles Field Office.

Ms. Upchurch will assume this new role in late April.
