Stephen Laycock Named Special Agent in Charge of the Counterintelligence Division for the Washington Field Office
FBI Director James B. Comey has named Stephen Laycock as the special agent in charge of the Counterintelligence Division for the Washington Field Office. Mr. Laycock most recently served as the section chief of the Eurasia Section in the Counterintelligence Division at FBI Headquarters (FBIHQ) in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Laycock entered on duty with the FBI in 1992 as a physical science technician in the Firearms & Toolmarks Unit at the FBI Laboratory. In 1995, Mr. Laycock began his career as a special agent, and was first assigned to the San Francisco Division, Oakland Resident Agency, where he worked counterintelligence matters.
Throughout his career, Mr. Laycock has held leadership positions in the Counterintelligence Division at FBIHQ, the Oakland Resident Agency, the Critical Incident Response Group, the Norfolk Division, and the Richmond Division.
Mr. Laycock will assume this new role in early May.
