Digital Billboards Publicizing Fugitive From Missouri
ST. LOUIS—Donald Eugene Fields II, who is the latest addition to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, is now showing on digital billboards in Greater St. Louis and other parts of Eastern Missouri. The FBI is also working with billboard companies in other states.
“Fugitive Donald Fields II will have an even harder time hiding, now that his mug is lit up larger than life on digital billboards 24/7 along prominent interstates,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Jay Greenberg of the FBI St. Louis Division. “We greatly appreciate our long-standing partnership with billboard companies that offer ad space at no cost to the FBI as a public service.”
Fields II, who is 59 years old, was indicted on December 7, 2022, in U.S. District Court in St. Louis on one count of child sex trafficking. His co-defendant, Theodore “Ted” John Sartori Sr., 62, was indicted on the same charge. Sartori has been arrested and pleaded not guilty.
The indictment accuses both men of knowingly attempting to recruit, entice, provide, patronize, and solicit a minor into engaging in a commercial sex act from about January 2013 until June 2017. In a December 2022 court hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Collins said Sartori provided cash, cars, motorcycles, vacations, and Christmas presents to Fields II in exchange for access to the victim.
Fields II is also facing state charges including statutory rape, statutory sodomy, child molestation, and witness tampering in Franklin County Circuit Court. A warrant for his arrest was issued by that court after Fields II vacated his Franklin County home and failed to show up for a hearing on March 3, 2022, court records show.
The FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list was established in March of 1950. Fields II is now the 531st fugitive added to the List. Of the total, 494 fugitives have been apprehended or located; 163 resulted from citizen cooperation.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to the arrest of Fields II. A conviction is NOT required for this reward. If you have information about Fields II, please contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5325), tips.fbi.gov, or your local FBI office.
