Arrest of Jael David Andrades Rivera and Jaime Junior Nieves Guerra
SAN JUAN, PR—Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI’s) San Juan Field Office, Joseph Gonzalez, announced the arrest of Jael David Andrades Rivera (ANDRADES RIVERA) and Jaime Junior Nieves Guerra (NIEVES GUERRA).
Andrades Rivera and Nieves Guerra were charged under a Complaint with violations of Title 18 U.S.C. § 1951 (Hobbs Act Robbery) for events that took place on Friday, December 6th, 2023, at a dealership in Dorado that evolved into a car chase which ended near exit 24 along Highway 22 in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.
The subjects were arrested by FBI Special Agents on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, and are currently awaiting their initial appearance.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney, Jonathan Gottfried, and E. Giovannie Mercado, and is being investigated by the FBI San Juan Field Office’s Violent Crimes and Major Offenders Squad. Investigative efforts are ongoing.
