Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Lee of the FBI Richmond Division announces a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads the RAVE Task Force to the identification, arrest, and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Mr. Clemente Jimenez-Lopez in March  2016.

On March 6, 2016, City of Richmond, Virginia police officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Armfield Road in the Town and Country Townhomes and Apartments for a report of a shooting. On scene, the officers learned that Jimenez-Lopez and two additional male victims had just arrived at the apartment complex when a light-colored four door sedan stopped in the roadway and its occupants exited, confronting the victims. One of the subjects demanded, in Spanish, their belongings. Jimenez-Lopez and the two other victims each ran in different directions. The two male victims were chased down, assaulted, and robbed. After the subjects left the scene, the two male victims found Jimenez-Lopez with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators believe the persons responsible for the armed robberies of the two male victims and the murder of Jimenez-Lopez on March 6 at the Town and Country Townhomes and Apartments may also be responsible for additional armed robberies, to include an attempted robbery on March 6 and a robbery on March 5.

On March 6, a male victim was approached in the parking lot of El Aventurero in the 3100 block of Broad Rock Boulevard, in Richmond, by two male subjects wanting money, one displaying a firearm. The victim resisted and was able to run away. The subjects fled in a light-colored four door sedan occupied by additional individuals. Subject #1 is believed to be a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8” to 5’10”, mid-20’s, thin, medium to dark complexion, with tattoos on the left side of his neck. At the time of the attempted robbery, this subject was wearing black pants and a black jacket with no hood. Subject #2 is believed to be a Hispanic male, approximately 5’2” to 5’5”, early 20’s, very skinny, curly hair, and was armed with a handgun.

On March 5, a male victim was robbed by two unknown subjects in the parking lot of the Centro Cervecero El Deseo Restaurant Bar and Grill located in the 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard, in Richmond. The victim describes being approached by two armed Hispanic males who demanded he put his hands up. The two subjects proceeded to rob the male victim, and departed in a light-colored four door sedan occupied by additional individuals.

A Seeking Information Poster has been added to the FBI’s website, and broadcast via social media—Facebook and Twitter. This case is being investigated by the FBI’s RAVE Task Force, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations Richmond office, and the City of Richmond Police Department’s Major Crimes Division. El 6 de marzo de 2016, se despachó a agentes policiales de la Ciudad de Richmond, Virginia a la cuadra 1400 de Armfield Road en Town and Country Townhomes and Apartments por un reporte de tiroteo.  Los agentes se enteraron en la escena que Jiménez-López y dos otros hombres que fueron víctimas acababan de llegar al complejo de apartamentos, cuando un vehículo tipo sedán de cuatro puertas de color claro se detuvo en la vía y sus ocupantes salieron de éste, confrontando a las víctimas. Uno de los sujetos exigió a las víctimas, en español, que le entregaran sus pertenencias. Jiménez-López y las otras dos víctimas corrieron en direcciones diferentes. Se persiguió, agredió y robó a ambos hombres víctimas. Tras los sujetos haber dejado la escena, dichas víctimas encontraron a Jiménez-López con una herida de bala en la cabeza.

Los investigadores creen que las personas responsables de los robos a mano armada de ambas víctimas y del asesinato de Jiménez-López el 6 de marzo en Town and Country Townhomes and Apartments también pudieran ser responsables de otros robos a mano armada, incluidos un intento de robo el 6 de marzo y un robo el 5 de marzo.

El 6 de marzo, dos varones sospechosos que querían dinero se acercaron a una víctima de sexo masculino en el estacionamiento de El Aventurero en la cuadra 3100 de Broad Rock Boulevard, en Richmond, uno de los cuales mostró un arma de fuego. Se cree que El Sujeto #2 es un hombre hispano, entre 5 pies, 2 pulgadas (1.57 mt.) y 5 pies, 5 pulgadas (1.65 mt.) aproximadamente, de 20-23 años de edad, muy delgado, cabello rizado y estaba armado con una pistola.

El 5 de marzo dos sujetos no identificados robaron a una víctima del sexo masculino en el estacionamiento del Centro Cervecero El Deseo Restaurant Bar and Grill, ubicado en la cuadra 1700 de Broad Rock Boulevard, en Richmond. La víctima describe que dos hombres hispanos armados se le acercaron exigiendo que levantara las manos.
