FBI Richmond Announces Its 2024 Citizens Academy

Applications Accepted Through February 16, 2024

Have you ever wondered how the FBI solves a case? Want to hear about the work agents are doing across Virginia? Special Agent in Charge Stanley M. Meador welcomes business, civic, and faith-based community leaders to apply for FBI Richmond’s Citizens Academy program, where we will give participants a first-hand look into life at the FBI.

The Richmond Field Office will host its 28th Citizens Academy Wednesday evenings April 10 – May 29, 2024. Throughout the program, participants will engage with FBI personnel as we discuss topics including cyber-crime, counterterrorism, and civil rights, among many others. Participants will get hands-on experience learning how we collect forensic evidence and will spend time on the firing range with our bomb techs and SWAT team.

The goal of this academy and all our outreach programs is to develop partnerships so we can better protect and serve our communities. We are seeking engaged leaders to join us in thoughtful dialogue about the FBI’s role in the community.

Please visit our webpage for more information about the Citizens Academy and the nomination process. The deadline to submit nominations is close of business February 16, 2024.
