FBI/New York Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force Offers Reward for Information About an Armed Bank Robber

MANHATTAN, NY—The New York FBI/New York Police Department Joint Violent Crimes Task Force is offering a reward of up to $5,000 leading to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with at least two armed bank robberies. Investigators say William Maybank was last seen in the last few weeks at 106 West 83rd Street in Manhattan.

FBI Albany agents have a federal arrest warrant for Maybank for a robbery at the Key Bank, at 1125 Mohawk Street, in Utica, New York, on August 26, 2019. Witness say Maybank pulled out a silver revolver, leapt over the teller counter, and demanded money from bank employees. He’s also suspected in one other bank robbery in Utica.

Maybank is described as a being 6’2” and around 220 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with any information about Maybank’s whereabouts or the robberies could receive a reward of up to $5,000 leading to an arrest, and they are asked to call the FBI New York at 212-384-5000.
