FBI Los Angeles Announces Specific Positions Available at the FBI and Encourages Citizens to Apply

The FBI is actively recruiting individuals to apply for the Special Agent position and non-Agent professional support positions at the Los Angeles Field Office and is calling on qualified individuals to apply for a unique career in federal law enforcement.

There are more than 37,000 employees at the FBI located in hundreds of locations across the country and throughout the world. The FBI’s work is complex and requires skills from numerous disciplines, but the mission is simple; to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution.

More specifically, the FBI is an intelligence-driven and threat-focused national security organization with both intelligence and law enforcement responsibilities. As such, the mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners.

As the main law enforcement arm of the federal government, the FBI investigates hundreds of federal violations. These investigations can include counterterrorism; violent crime to include kidnapping, extortion, gangs, fugitives, and bank robberies; civil rights; white collar crime, to include various types of fraud and public corruption; counterintelligence investigations to include espionage; crimes against children to include trafficking, sextortion, and abductions; cyber crime to include computer intrusions, fraud, and piracy; and many more.

Currently, the FBI in Los Angeles has openings and a critical need for the following positions:
