United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Trina Matthews, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on October 27, 2014, to five years in prison by United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp. Matthews had previously pled guilty for her involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the Omaha area dating back to January 1, 2014. Matthews had delivered and arranged for the delivery of more than 5 grams of actual methamphetamine, which caused her to be sentenced to a mandatory minimum sentence of five years. After serving her sentence Matthews will be required to serve a Term of Supervised Release of four years.

This case was the result of an investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office and the Omaha Police Department.
