Wisconsin Dells Man Sentenced to 72 Months for Distributing Child Pornography

MADISON, WI—John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Jody Adamski, 45, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman to 72 months in federal prison, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, for distributing child pornography. Adamski pleaded guilty to this charge on November 13, 2013.

This investigation began in February 2012, when a suspect was arrested in Queensland, Australia, on child pornography charges. That investigation led Australian authorities to over 100 e-mail accounts involved in the trade of child pornography, including an e-mail account belonging to Adamski. U.S. authorities executed a search warrant for Adamski’s e-mail account and his residence in Wisconsin Dells and found child pornography.

The charge against Adamski was the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Julie Pfluger.
