FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the Vons Supermarket at 4725 Clairemont Drive in San Diego, California, on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at approximately 5:20 p.m., an unknown male robbed the Wells Fargo Bank branch located inside the Vons Supermarket at 4725 Clairemont Drive in San Diego, California. According to witnesses, the robber used a demand note claiming to have a weapon; no weapon was visible.

The robber was last seen exiting the Vons Supermarket on foot.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: Black
Height: Approximately 6’0” tall
Weight: Approximately 170 lbs.
Hair: Dark
Clothing: Black hat with the letter “O”; dark shirt
Tattoos: None visible
Weapon: None visible, but threatened in demand note
