FBI and La Mesa Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robber

The FBI and La Mesa Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 5610 Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa, California, on Friday, July 5, 2013.
On Friday, July 5, 2013, at approximately 4:32 p.m. the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 5610 Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa, California, was robbed by an unknown male using a demand note. At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and produced a demand note for cash. After receiving a sum of money, the robber exited the bank and was last seen walking northbound from the bank into the parking lot.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White
- Height: Approximately 5’7” tall
- Weight: Approximately 210 lbs. to 215 lbs.
- Hair: Gray hair and mustache
- Build: Heavy
- Age: Mid-50s
- Other: Acne scars
- Clothing: Dark sunglasses, a collared gray shirt, and tan pants. The robber carried a greenish-colored cloth bag similar to a reusable grocery bag.
