FBI and Escondido Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Union Bank Robber

The FBI and Escondido Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male responsible for robbing the Union Bank branch located at 303 West Grand Avenue in Escondido, California, on Friday, August 23, 2013.

On Friday, August 23, 2013, at approximately 1:30 p.m., an unknown male robbed the Union Bank branch located at 303 West Grand Avenue in Escondido, California. According to witnesses, the robber entered the bank carrying a duffel bag. The robber showed a demand note, there were no weapons visible.

The robber exited the bank, turned right, heading west on foot towards Orange Avenue.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Age: 50-60 years old
  • Height: Approximately 5’10” to 5’11” tall
  • Weight: 175-190 lbs.
  • Build: Skinny
  • Hair: White
  • Clothing: Plaid shirt, green baseball cap, jeans, and white sneakers
  • Tattoos: None visible
  • Weapon: None visible
