FBI and San Diego Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Armed Citibank Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Citibank, located at 10606 Camino Ruiz, San Diego, California, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.

On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at approximately 12:18 p.m., a Citibank branch located at 10606 Camino Ruiz, San Diego, California was robbed by an armed unknown male. At the time of the robbery the robber entered the bank, approached the victim teller’s counter, and slammed his right hand containing a pistol on the counter. The robber yelled at the teller to give him money and continued to point the pistol at the teller. The robber was described as being aggressive and loud. Other employee’s in the bank were aware of the robbery because the robber was yelling the entire time he was in the bank. After receiving a sum of money, the robber exited the bank and was observed getting into the driver’s side of a dark gray, four-door Toyota or Honda automobile.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Age: Late 40s
  • Height: Approximately 6’0” tall
  • Build: Husky
  • Eyes: Unknown
  • Hair/Coloring: Unknown
  • Clothing: Dark hooded sweatshirt, dark sunglasses, dark pants, white tennis shoes
  • Weapon: Semi-automatic pistol
  • Miscellaneous: Very loud and aggressive
