FBI agents arrested Steven Gabriel Moos, age 41, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, as he arrived at Dulles International Airport on a flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The arrest was without incident.

In 2004, a federal grand jury indicted Moos on four counts related to medical fraud: 1) two counts of misbranding medication, 2) one count of false statements to the government, and 3) one count of obtaining Schedule III and IV controlled substances by misrepresentation. Moos has been a fugitive since July 2004.

The FBI agents transported Moos back to Portland on Wednesday afternoon, and he is currently booked into the Multnomah County Jail. He will make his initial appearance before a federal magistrate on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the U.S. District Courthouse in Portland.

Assistant United States Attorneys Allan Garten and Michelle Kerin are prosecuting this case. A defendant should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
