Mollie Halpern: The FBI is seeking to identify and assist victims in one of the largest sextortion cases in the United States.

Lucas Chansler is serving a 105-year sentence for extorting female teenagers through social networking websites in order to get photos and videos of the girls exposing themselves.

Between 2007 and 2010, Chansler victimized about 350 girls in the United States, Canada, and England. Ashley is one of the girls and is sharing her story in an effort to encourage others to come forward.

Ashley: After coming forward, I feel empowered. I feel like I’m stronger than I ever could have been.

Halpern: Case Agent Larry Meyer says the FBI will help provide victims with the services they’re due as federal crime victims.

Larry Meyer: It’s imperative that they understand that they are victims, and it’s imperative that they talk to a parent, a teacher, a counselor, even a friend.
