Capital One Bank Branch on General DeGaulle Robbed

NEW ORLEANS—Today, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a robbery occurred at the Capitol One Bank located at 3800 General DeGaulle Drive,in New Orleans.

The suspect entered the location and brandished a black hand gun. He approached a teller window demanding money. The subject left the bank with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect is described as black male, dark skin, in his mid-late 20s, and approximately 5’8”-5’10” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.

He was last seen heading toward the West Bank Expressway on General Degaulle on foot.

Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 504-816-3000 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber. The public can visit bankrobbers.fbi.gov for further information on suspects wanted for bank robbery.
