Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in Algiers, Louisiana

This morning at approximately 9:00 a.m., the First Bank & Trust at 4550 General DeGaulle Drive, Algiers, Louisiana, was robbed by a lone individual who displayed a revolver and demanded money. He fled the bank in a black Mitsubishi Montero Sport vehicle on Kabel Drive toward MacArthur Blvd. A bank surveillance image of the suspect is below. The robber is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 25-30 years old, 5’8”-5’10” tall, 200 pounds, with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing a black long-sleeve t-shirt, baggy blue jeans, and a black knit skull cap.

Anyone with information about this bank robbery is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
